Coaches Training Information

The Oregon Interscholastic Ski Racing Association has a professional coaching staff that has:

• Completed required coaches' training courses;
• Has had a background check;
• Complies with the OISRA Coaches Code of Ethics;
• Follows the "Good Practices" defined in the OISRA Abuse/Molestation Guidelines.

All OISRA Head Coaches and Coaches who work with students without being supervised are "OISRA Certified Coaches."

They complete the following online courses:

• Fundamentals of Coaching
• First Aid
• Concussion Awareness
• Mandatory Reporting of Abuse
• Boundary Invasion
• Hazing

Any adult who works with OISRA athletes under the supervision of an OISRA Certified Coach is an “OISRA Helper Coach.”

They complete the following online courses:

• Concussion Awareness 
• Hazing
