The Oregon Interscholastic Ski Racing Association has a professional coaching staff that has:
- completed required coaches' training courses
- has had a background check
- complies with the OISRA Coaches Code of Ethics
- follows the "Good Practices" defined in the OISRA Abuse/Molestation Guidelines
All OISRA Head Coaches and Coaches who work with students without being supervised are "OISRA Certified Coaches."
They complete the following online courses
- Fundamentals of Coaching
- First Aid
- Concussion Awareness
- Mandatory Reporting of Abuse
- Boundary Invasion
- Hazing
Any adult who works with OISRA athletes under the supervision of an OISRA Certified Coach is an “OISRA Helper Coach.”
They complete the following online courses:
- Concussion Awareness
- Hazing
